Here’s the team that collaborated on recording The History of Light’s songs

Michael W. Small, author of the new musical The History of LIght

MICHAEL W. SMALL (book, new lyrics) co-wrote the book for the musical The IT Girl, which premiered in 2001 at Off Broadway's York Theater, directed by BT McNicholl and overseen by Jerry Zaks. His farce Kaboom! played to packed houses in the 2008 New York International Fringe Festival. Other plays include: We'll Be Fine and Got You (which had readings at the New York City's HOWL Festival), Beautiful Foolish Arms (reading by Naked Angels at The Players Club), and The Cool Club, performed at New York's CBGB 313. After graduating from Harvard, Small studied playwriting at Playwrights Horizons, NYU, and San Francisco's Eureka Theatre. He now hosts the podcast I Couldn't Throw It Out.

Gregg Edelman, director of the new musical The History of Light

GREGG EDELMAN (director, dramaturg) has been part of the New York theatre scene for 40 years. His performances earned him four Tony nominations, the Drama Desk Award, as well as many other honors. He has appeared in 16 Broadway productions, including City Of Angels, 1776, Into The Woods, Les Miserables, Wonderful Town, and, most recently, Water for Elephants. As an Artistic Associate at the Berkshire Theatre Group, he has directed numerous shows, including Constellations, Once, What We May Be, White Christmas, and Arsenic and Old Lace. His filmography includes She Came To Me, Little Children, She Said, Spiderman 2, and Liberal Arts. His work on television includes The Sinner, House Of Cards, and every Law and Order series. Other NYC productions include Richard Greenberg’s The Perplexed at MTC, Candide at the New York City Opera, Thief River at The Signature, and the world premiere of A.R.Gurney’s Black Tie. His concert career includes stints with the NY Pops, Boston Pops, Detroit Symphony, Gothenburg Symphony, and Chicago Pops, as well as dates at Carnegie Hall, 54 Below, Feinstein’s, and Birdland.

Phil Teatime Jones, song producer for the new musical The History of Light

PHIL TEATIME JONES (producer, arranger), professionally known as Teatime, is an audio engineer, producer, and multifaceted musician. He is the CEO and founder of SubSonic Music Group, LLC where he has produced for Sheila E., Bettina Pennon, and Chantel May. Among his many collaborations, Teatime worked with Stanley Brown and Rodney Jerkins to produce 2022's "T.D. Jakes presents Finally Loosed." which won the Special Event Album of the Year at the Stellar Awards.

Lawrence Yurman, arranger for the new musical The History of Light

LAWRENCE YURMAN (arranger, musical director) is a pianist, arranger, and conductor with 30+ years of experience on Broadway and beyond. Notable Broadway shows include the 2018 revival of The Iceman Cometh (onstage pianist), War Paint, Grey Gardens (music director/conductor), and On a Clear Day You Can See Forever (music director/arranger), starring Harry Connick. He has performed extensively with Christine Ebersole and Lea Salonga in NYC, across the country and abroad. He is a co-creator of the musical Stardust Road, which was performed at New York's York Theatre in 2022 and features the songs of Hoagy Carmichael.

MELVIN PACHECO (tracking engineer) is a certified audio engineer with a decade of experience in professional recording, mixing, producing, and arranging music. Specialized knowledge in creating works that are beat driven and melodic, and knowledgeable in both digital and analog recording and mixing.

XAVIER PACHECO (hip-hop arranger) earned a Master’s in Acting from New York University. He was recently in Fat Ham at the Old Globe. He is experienced in rapping, hip hop, musical performance, and collaborative writing.

PETER MILLROSE (recording engineer) has been a professional music composer/producer/arranger/engineer in the New York City area since 1990.
